Edwin Ramirez embarks on a humorous and moving search for father figures. In a stand-up comedy odyssey, the queer, disabled artist introduces six daddies—regardless of gender—who turned Edwin into the person they are today. The influences range from an arrogant superstar surgeon to missed conversations with the biological father and hallucinogenic encounters with the ghost of William Tell. With sharp wit and fragile candor, the performance addresses questions of identity, belonging, and queer desire beyond normative body images and visions for one’s life.

Confessions of an Ex-Perfectionist (2025)

Lau Lukkarila’s cabaret moves between a feverish autobiographical radio show and an intimate living room concert—a gathering suspended somewhere between palliative confession and naughty storytime. Dog-eared notebooks open up to reveal a patchwork of diary entries, memoirs of sex escapees, and half-remembered phone calls. Lukkarila switches between lullabies and (muffled) screams and tells of women who vanish and reappear in history’s footnotes, their migrations rewritten as love stories. This evening presents tales like wounds scabbed over.
